Privacy policy

Last updated : November 3, 2026

Strenghty is developed by Étienne (etienne2t). For privacy questions, contact support@etienne2t.com.

Data stored on your device

Routines, planned and completed workouts, exercise variations, loads, bodyweight, actual repetitions or hold durations, RPE, muscle assignments, timer presets, recent timer history, effort totals and settings are stored in the app’s local files or preferences. Strenghty does not require an account and does not operate a server holding your journal. It has no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics.

Optional Apple Health access

With your permission, Strenghty reads the latest available body-mass measurement from Apple Health to prefill empty bodyweight fields when preparing a workout. The value is converted to the selected kg/lb unit and copied into that workout’s local snapshot for tonnage calculations. Existing values and completed workouts are not overwritten by a new Health reading. Strenghty does not write data to Apple Health, request your nutrition history or send your weight to the developer.

Permissions and manual entry

Health access is optional. You can enter bodyweight manually and use the journal and timer without it. You can manage or revoke access in the Health app or iOS settings. Revoking access stops future reads but does not erase weight values already saved in workout snapshots. iOS does not tell Strenghty whether a missing result means that access was refused or that no measurement is available.

Audio and the timer

Timers generate a finite local audio file containing workout cues and optional metronome ticks. The app uses background audio playback to play those cues with the screen locked and may mix them with other music. It does not record your microphone, listen to your surroundings or send audio to an external service. Temporary cue files are removed when playback stops; iOS may also manage temporary storage.

Network and backups

Strenghty does not provide online account or journal synchronisation. The workout journal, including routines, planned and completed workouts and any copied bodyweight, is excluded from system backups. It stays on this device and is not restored automatically when you change devices. Other app files and settings may be included in device backups according to your system settings. This exclusion does not remove older backups already created. Apple’s own Health synchronisation is separate and follows your Apple settings. The developer cannot retrieve a backup or restore your journal remotely.

Retention and deletion

Your journal stays on your device until you remove records using available controls or delete the app and its data. Recent standalone timer history keeps the latest ten starts; saved timers and workout history are separate. Offloading the app preserves its documents and data. To remove all local records, delete the app and its data rather than offloading it. Manage any device backups separately. Strenghty has no server-side account or remote copy for the developer to delete.

Support and this website

If you email support@etienne2t.com, your address, message and attachments are used to respond. Do not send health data unless needed for your request. For email handling, website hosting, applicable rights and contact information, see the website privacy policy. Local app data is not made available to support automatically.

Changes

This policy reflects the current app. It will be updated when Strenghty’s data practices change.
